Melisa Cole is a Toronto based artist who spent much of her youth, growing up on the small island of Grenada.  

This Caribbean setting had a large influence on Melisa’s artistic aesthetic and general outlook on the world.

 These cultural influences can be seen in her works, which embody the joyful and colourful experience of island life. 

 The ocean and aquatic life are central themes in her work.  

 

Through playful and vibrant depictions of these themes, she attempts to capture the essence of positivity and the connectedness of all beings.
